Charity Fundraiser

We are proud to support a local charity - Wickford At Christmas who are made up of a small group of local residents that throw their heart and souls into ensuring the Christmas lights shine bright in Wickford throughout the festive season.  This isn't all they do as there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure the lights are maintained and stored securely throughout the year and much more.

To help the charity continue their amazing work we are hosting a charity fundraiser whereby we will be donating a percentage of the takings from the event.

The evening event is open to adults and children where you can come along to the studio and get crafty with any of the daily activities we offer.  For anyone who hasn't visited The Craft Shed before these activities include pottery painting, foam claying a pottery item or crafting a bear.

Prices of pottery start from £5 and goes up to £50 for XL items.  If you are painting there is a studio fee of £4.50 which covers the paint, glaze and firing process and the items will need to stay with us for about a week to complete this process.

If you would like to take something away the same day then the foam clay is an air drying clay that can be moulded around pottery.  Pots of foam clay are £1 each or 6 for £5 for the non glitter range or £1.50 a tub or 4 for £5 for the glitter range plus the price of your pottery.  We have scrap pots at no extra cost for little features.

Craft a bear is similar to a bear building outlet you may know, but you stuff the bear skins yourself and get a plain t-shirt to create your own design on.

We will also be serving hot and cold drinks during the event and also have a selection of cakes, biscuits and crisps.  You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, but a percentage of the proceeds from refreshments sold will also be donated.  Please note we don't stock gluten free food, but we do have alternative milks for teas, coffees, ice coffees and milkshakes along with a large range of syrups.

We offer tables that can seat up to 4 people.  If there are more than 4 of you in the group please let us know and we can push tables together.  To try and maximise the amount of money raised if there are groups of 2 you may be seated with another group of 2.

The ticket price is per person and 100% of the ticket will be donated to the charity.
